Thank you for your patience as Mount Royal University works with the provincial government to adapt as quickly as possible to the state of public health emergency. Please note the following:

As of Monday, Sept. 20, MRU has adopted the provincial government’s Restrictions Exemption Program and will be returning to in-person learning.

While we are within the provincial work-from-home order, managers will determine which of their employees are needed on campus for operational requirements. Employees whose physical presence is not required (i.e., not in-person class instruction, in-person student services, etc.) and who can work from home may do so with confirmation from their manager. Please connect with your manager to determine their expectations as we resume on-campus operations with delivery of learning and services.

In order to come to campus students and employees must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have declared your vaccination status as partially or fully vaccinated.
  • If unvaccinated or undeclared, you are required to participate in the rapid testing program.
  • All students, faculty and staff who have attested that they are vaccinated will be required to provide proof of vaccination and verification, starting on Monday, Sept. 20 (details to follow).
  • Follow all of Mount Royal’s existing health measures.

Rapid testing program for students and employees

  • In order to comply with the provincial exemption program you must provide a negative COVID-19 test result for access to campus unless you have provided proof of your first dose of vaccination before Oct. 4.
  • MRU will provide free testing kits for those in the rapid testing program until Nov. 1.

Add/drop deadline for students

  • The deadline to add classes will remain Friday, Sept. 17.
  • The deadline to drop classes has been extended to Thursday, Sept. 30.
  • The deadline to pay tuition and fees has been extended to Thursday, Sept. 30.

In-person classes remain cancelled through Sunday, Sept. 19. Online classes will continue as scheduled. I wish everyone a safe and restful weekend.
