Sent on behalf of Phil Warsaba, Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Students

Students,

I am pleased to share information on the gradual return to in-person classes at Mount Royal University. Phase 2 will start the week of Feb. 7, with additional courses returning to on-campus delivery to enhance your learning experiences.

If there are changes to your course delivery, you will receive an email early this week. In the meantime, you can also check this list to see which classes will be in person starting Feb. 7. As a reminder, there will be no adjustments made to courses originally scheduled for online delivery at the time of registration. The University intends to have all courses originally scheduled for in-person instruction back on campus Feb. 28 after Reading Week.

As has been the case throughout the pandemic, our decisions prioritize the well-being of our campus community and are guided by a number of factors, including public health directives. Thank you to everyone who followed the health protocols while on campus to ensure the success of Phase 1. In the meantime, I hope you, like me, look forward to the time when we can all return to campus.

When preparing to be on campus, please remember:

  • Stay home if you are feeling unwell.
  • You are required to isolate and should fill out an Early Support COVID report if you have any core COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for COVID-19.
  • Wear a type of mask consistent with AHS guidelines. You are encouraged to use, at minimum, a triple-layer mask.
  • You are required to be fully vaccinated.
  • Voluntary rapid testing is available for those required to be on campus, as supplies allow.
  • If you are eligible, please get your booster shot as soon as you are able to do so. The City of Calgary’s vaccination van will be on campus Feb. 14, Feb. 22 and March 1 between the Riddell Library and Learning Centre and the EA building.

Please continue to check your email and the MRU website for regular updates.
