- participating in an assessment as required
-
permitting students to discuss a treatment plan with you for you to agree to, prior to the massage
- allowing students to execute the plan and accept and incorporate feedback from the supervisor during the treatment
- not dictating the treatment as it hinders the student's ability to build confidence in the application of knowledge they have gained thus far but also may deter from the agreed upon treatment plan
- receiving treatment from different students as all students need to have the opportunity to work on and practice their skills on a variety of clients in a positive learning environment (as in any profession, some may be a good fit for you and some may not be a good fit for you)
- providing students with feedback regarding pressure and discomfort during the treatment so they may adjust as required
- providing positive and constructive feedback regarding the treatment on your evaluation form on what could have improved your experience
- booking once a week - if you book an additional appointment in the week it must be 1-2 days apart, and it cannot exceed 2 a week
Fee: The $30 fee for one-hour massage treatments supports our student scholarships. Present your MRU OneCard for a special MRU Advantage rate of $20. Please bring exact change or a cheque.
Location: Treatments take place in EC2120 on the second floor of the Roderick Mah Centre for Continuous Learning (EC building).
