Yi Fei Wang

Growth and Innovation Specialist  

Yi Fei is an experiential educator and specializes in work integrated learning and experiential learning. With over 10 years' experience designing and developing experiential learning programs and courses, Yi Fei plays an integral role in supporting the growth, innovation and sustainability of the experiential learning ecosystem at MRU. Working with all stakeholders, Yi Fei assists in delivering new experiences, services and work-integrated learning opportunities aligned with the strategic plan and objectives of Career Services.

Vanessa Peterelli

Career Development Manager    

Committed to experiential learning, student development and successful transitions from university to the workplace, Vanessa leads the Career Development team. Vanessa is an MRU graduate from the Journalism program and has 10 years of experience in Career Services, working with students, faculty and industry to support experiential learning.

Ashley Hoffarth

Work Experience Coordinator


Ashley works with the Environmental Science program to assist students in building their knowledge and skills in the area of career development.  With over 15 years of experience in the field of Education, she is passionate about working with students to help them realize their goals.

Caillie Mutterback

Early Engagement Coordinator  

Caillie collaborates with programs and faculties across Mount Royal to develop and deliver meaningful and innovative programs and events for first and second year students. Caillie is a creative and strategic thinker enthusiastic about creating transformative experiences that are accessible to all.

Carlos Gonzalez

Work Experience Coordinator  

Carlos comes to Career Services with a background in Engineering and experience in Project Management, Career Development and Employment Support. He takes pride in having successfully supported a diverse group of individuals to open opportunities for their career advancement while fostering great relationships with stakeholders, employers, government, and community. 



Lindsay Ross

Work Experience Coordinator  

Lindsay has a degree in journalism from MRU and comes to Career Services with nearly 20 years of diverse experience in communications. She works with students in Journalism and Digital Media as well as Broadcast Media Studies, empowering them in their career development journey and assisting them as needed along the way.


Lynn Dittmer

Work Experience Coordinator  

Lynn works with the School of Communications programs. She supports Information Design and Public Relations students, specifically in career development. Using her background in facilitation, communications and experience partnering with businesses and non-profits, she thrives on assisting students in accessing and revealing their potential to engage in and keep pace with today's work world.

Robin Filmer

Work Experience Coordinator  

Robin works with the Computer Information Systems and Computer Science programs at MRU.  She provides students with the tools needed to launch a successful career by working with them in class, groups or one-on-one situations designed to achieve their goals.

Valbona Pennoyer

Work Experience Coordinator

Valbona has over 15 years of experience as a Human Resources professional working in Europe and Canada. Her experience includes program management, employment services, direct placements, performance management and career coaching. She works with Bachelor of Arts students, inspiring them to reach their career goals and fulfil professional dreams. 

Partner Engagement Team

Vance Koberstein

Partner Engagement Manager   

Vance brings 15 years of post-secondary experience related to experiential and work-integrated-learning. He oversees a portfolio of programs and projects that collaborate with local, national, and international partners who engage in experiential and work-integrated learning.

Conan Daly

Work Experience Coordinator 

Conan brings over 20 years experience in Media and Sales to MRU, and has spent the last 5 years coordinating work terms for the MRU Broadcast Media Studies program, and being the main person responsible for the Career Services media channels. He supports employers in the Accounting and Finance portfolios.

Daniel Santiago

Work Experience Coordinator 

Daniel supports employers in the Energy, Utilities and Materials portfolios. An MRU Alumni, he is passionate about instructing and advising students through their career development journey.

Jane Hawkins

Work Experience Coordinator  

Jane loves to open doors to meaningful work-integrated learning opportunities. She specializes in partnerships in communication, government and health care to help students use their skills and knowledge to get started in careers that connect.

Kristine Trinh

Graduate and Alumni Services Coordinator


In the course of her career, Kristine has assisted hundreds of clients to settle and land their first job in Canada through career coaching, networking opportunities and job fairs. As Graduate and Alumni Services Coordinator, Kristine wants to utilize her skill sets and diverse experience to create meaningful connections and exceptional services for our students and alumni at MRU. Her philosophy in life is “Be the change you wish you see in the world”. 

Lauren Taylor

Mentorship and Work-Integrated Learning Initiatives Coordinator


Lauren develops and delivers the Harry G. Schaefer Mentorship Program to full-time senior students in credit programs. She also supports students to get involved in work-integrated learning opportunities. Lauren is passionate about student success, building relationships and ensuring all students get the most from their MRU experience. 

Lori Kearney

Indigenous Work Experience Coordinator


Lori is a Visual Artist and Educator from Peguis First Nation. Her expertise in community development lends itself to nurturing positive relationships between multiple perspectives and cultures. These skills along with her creative intellect and love for learning will transfer beautifully, and she is very excited to walk alongside and support Indigenous graduates who are embarking on their new career journeys.

Rachel Timmermans

Volunteer and Campus Engagement Coordinator 

Rachel connects with and supports non-profit organizations looking to provide meaningful work experience, as well as volunteer or in-class experiential learning opportunities to students. She believes it is important to connect students with multiple opportunities to gain experience throughout their degree to help them gain confidence in the skills they have developed and are still developing.

Rasha Abdelah

Funding and Special Projects Coordinator 

Rasha plays an integral role in supporting the business objectives, growth and sustainability of Career Services experiential and work integrated learning programming. She brings a set of skills and 20 years of experience in IT and project management, leading teams in corporate, not for profit, and post secondary education sectors.

Ursula Wittner

Work Experience Coordinator 

Ursula comes to the Career Services Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples portfolio with a strong background and understanding in Human Resources, Transitional Coaching, Entrepreneurship, and Employment Counselling. Ursula takes pride in having successfully assisted a diverse array of individuals to open opportunities for their career advancement while cultivating an environment that encourages and supports growth in self worth and confidence.

Patricia Gardner

Operations Coordinator 

Patricia brings over 8 years of experience in MRU Career Services to her role. She works closely with the events, communications, technology and administrative staff to make sure MRU students and employers have a positive user experience with Career Services.

Alyssa Wadman

Technology Coordinator 

Although she has a BSc. in Neuroscience, Alyssa joined Career Services to make new connections supporting students in experiential learning as a Technology Coordinator. Drawing on her Wildfire Logistics background, she's here to help make sure software systems are organized and coordinated in support of staff and students at MRU.

Bryce Dodd

Administrative Assistant


Bryce is a recent university graduate who has previous experience working in a post-secondary institution. He spent years in customer service roles and enjoys helping people. Bryce is excited to be supporting career services in his position as Administrative Assistant.

Hilary Losier

Administrative Assistant 

Hilary is an administrative veteran; bringing a wealth of experience in supporting team members. When she’s not looking after front-facing services, Hilary is likely managing databases, emails and documents; helping to keep operations moving effectively behind the scenes.

Jordyn Slominsky

Events and Engagement Facilitator  

Jordyn is responsible for executing all logistical aspects of in-person and virtual events, assuming a lead role at our events and executing post-event tasks. She’s a journalism grad who studied written and online journalism as well as photojournalism. She hopes to share her enthusiasm with students by executing outstanding events!

Raydha Jafar

Administrative Assistant

Raydha is a MRU Human Resources graduate, with client services and student recruitment experience. She is delighted to be a source of guidance and information for a shared goal: student success. Raydha is happy to assist all who walk through the Career Services doors in her position as Administrative Assistant.

Stephen Shepard

Technology Coordinator  

With over 10 years of experience in post secondary administration, Stephen is passionate about student experience and success. He strives to connect his background in improvised music to his role supporting career services - he loves to think on his feet.

Tina Ince

Technology Coordinator 

Tina has worked in Career Services at MRU for 8 years, previously as an Administrative Assistant and now as a Technology Coordinator. Working "behind the scenes", Tina helps manage the department database to support students, staff and employer partners.
