On March 7, Mount Royal University Career Services had the pleasure of hosting the Summer Job Fair 2024, an event that buzzed with energy and promise for both students and employers alike. We're incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in making this day unforgettable, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Platinum Sponsor, the Environmental Careers Organization of Canada (ECO Canada), for their support and collaboration, which truly made a difference in elevating the look and feel of the event.
ECO Canada, known for its two-decade-long commitment to fostering environmental career pathways and supporting business growth, stood out as a beacon of opportunity at the event. Their presence added depth and significance to the fair, aligning perfectly with our mission to provide students with meaningful employment prospects, industry knowledge, and employers with access to top talent.
One of the standout offerings from ECO Canada is their wage and training funding program, which aims to assist employers in various ways, including increasing work capacity, accessing talented youth with fresh ideas and skills, reducing staff training costs, and supporting the growth of new qualified environmental workers. Their environmental careers job board proved to be an invaluable resource for both exhibitors and attendees, facilitating connections and opening doors to exciting career opportunities.
