 Defining Your Purpose & Goals

Figuring out your purpose is one of the most difficult things you can do in life. In this workshop you will learn about how you can define your purpose and how it might change multiple times over the course of your life. We’ll show you how to identify the different pathways and set goals to fulfill your purpose. Whether you’re figuring out where you fit in an organization, or society as a whole, we’ll guide you through how to take stock of the landscape and map your path forward.

 Work-Life Balance 

Learning how to take a break is essential to our well-being. However, many of us have been struggling to manage our work life and personal life, which causes compounding stress from the never-ending workday. The following statistics will help you better understand the situation:

 Tackle Tough Conversations at Work

We have a tendency to avoid conflict at work. As such, when we get ourselves into an uncomfortable situation, we choose not to engage in a difficult conversation and wait out the discomfort. In fact, many of us prefer this path because we are not sure how to handle them due to many fears such as it will cause damage our relationships or impact our work environment negatively. In this workshop, you will have a complete guide on how to tackle difficult conversations at work including step-by-step strategies so that you can talk about conflict, discrimination, and other difficult topics with confidence.

 Your Value and Compensation

Negotiating your salary and compensation package can be an intimidating task for anyone, nevermind being a student or recent graduate. You are grateful for receiving a job offer but how do you open a conversation about how much you’ll be getting paid? This workshop will show you how to broach the subject of compensation during the hiring process. We will outline what items to consider when evaluating your compensation package. As well, how you can respond when this conversation doesn’t end up happening as you planned.

 Lifelong Learning

Lifelong learning is about continuing to grow, learn new skills, and make new connections throughout your lifetime. As you move through life it is important to stay up to date with current professional and interpersonal development trends. Learning doesn’t stop when you complete your degree. This workshop will teach you how to find opportunities to grow your skills and network throughout your degree program and after you graduate. Learn how to stay connected with your community, volunteering, mentoring and other professional development opportunities.
