Scholarly Interests:

My research investigates the mechanics of economic growth, functional income distribution, and inequality dynamics. I explore how innovation, market power, and industrial policy intersect to shape economic outcomes, drawing on a pluralistic theoretical framework. To capture these complex systems, my methodology pairs agent-based computational models with rigorous empirical tools, including causal inference and machine learning.

Teaching Statement:

I approach economic pedagogy as an invitation to critical inquiry, framing my courses around questions that transcend single schools of thought: How are prices formed? What fuels structural change? What determines who gets what share of national income? Integrating economic history, institutional perspectives, and modern data science, I show students how policy frameworks evolve over time. By pairing theoretical modeling with empirical data and real-world application, I ensure students leave my classes equipped to evaluate complex policy landscapes critically.
