Aleta Terlecki holds a Master's degree in Applied Behavioural Sciences with an emphasis on Adult Learning and Organizational Development from Bastyr University, Seattle. This specialization is informed by a commitment to human, community and social development and has given her a solid foundation in the history, theory, and practical applications of coaching and change management. She also holds a B.Ed from the University of Calgary. Aleta has rich and varied teaching experiences with diverse populations in Post- Secondary, Senior High, Middle and Elementary settings. She holds the Alberta LQS Certification and has also developed and delivered course content for this certification for the University of Calgary. With over 30 years experience in the Calgary Board of Education, in addition to teaching, she has many years experience as a Curriculum and Learning Specialist, leading system-wide roll-outs of the Alberta ELL Benchmarks, K&E curriculum, Health & CALM, and TPGPs, and has served as an Assistant Principal and Principal. Aleta contracts regularly for the Centre for Suicide Prevention, facilitating training opportunities dedicated to equipping individuals to respond to people at risk of suicide. Her passion is creating vibrant interactive professional learning opportunities.
