Lauren earned her Bachelor's of Science in Recreation and Sport Management with a focus on Sport and Diversity, and her Bachelor's of Arts in Ethics and Public Policy from the University of Iowa where she was also a Division One NCAA student-athlete. After earning her Master's in Educational Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Lauren has worked at the post-secondary level and at the intersection of athletics and education. Her focus has been on academic development for at-risk student populations, academic advising, and the benefits of education-based athletics. When Lauren is not teaching at MRU she is working for a federal non-profit on illustrating the impact of school sport or volunteering with Run Calgary.
