English Language Program Payment, Refund and Transfer to Another Term Policy

Effective July 1, 2016

Payment (for Spring 2020 only)
Payment of full fees for at least the first term of study must be paid at the time of application. Please include payment of a $500 deposit for each additional term you wish to apply for. Students will receive an official letter of acceptance for all terms for which tuition or deposits have been paid.

 

SPRING TERM 2020

Exceptional Refund Decision: 

Due to the unusual circumstances we are facing, we will follow these amended refund guidelines:

Refund Request made in writing PRIOR TO April 1, 2020

We will waive withholding the non-refundable deposit of CDN$250 for International Students.

We will waive withholding the non-refundable deposit of CDN$50 for Domestic Students.

Refund Request made in writing BETWEEN April 1, 2020 and April 14, 2020

 We will be withholding the non-refundable deposit of CDN$250 AND the CDN$215 Health Insurance charge for International Students. 

We will be withholding the non-refundable deposit of CDN$50 for Domestic Students.

Refund Request made AFTER April 14, 2020

No late refund will be processed.  

 


Our Refund Policy
A request for withdrawal must be received in writing before classes begin.
You will have to produce
(a) the original letter of acceptance OR
(b) an acceptance letter from another school OR
(c) a reserved plane ticket out of Canada OR
(d) a copy of a letter from the Canadian Embassy.
In that case, the CDN$150 Application fee (if applicable), CDN$250 from the tuition fee or deposit, and the CDN$100 Application Fee for Open Studies (if applicable) will be withheld. The balance will be refunded. Health Insurance is non-refundable and non-transferable after coverage begins.

There will be NO Refunds after classes begin.


Transfer to Another Term Policy
All requests for transfer must be received in writing before classes begin. We will transfer your tuition to another term only once (a CDN$100 transfer fee will apply). No transfers after the program has started.

The Health Insurance fee is non-refundable and non-transferable after coverage begins.

The English Language Program takes no responsibility for immigration matters.

Course Cancellations
If Mount Royal University must cancel courses, we will contact you as soon as possible and issue a full refund (except for the application fees). (updated March 14, 2020)
