Meet Charlotte and Emilie, two MRU students whose friendship is equal parts chaos, laughter and growth.

Charlotte is a fifth-year Bachelor of Communications — Journalism & Digital Media student with a minor in Business and Society, who loves writing stories that connect people. Emilie is a fourth-year Bachelor of Arts — Sociology student with a minor in Psychology, passionate about understanding how people, communities and systems shape our world.

They met through MRU’s Orientation program and their friendship has grown while creating welcoming, supportive spaces for new students. Along the way, they’ve discovered leadership, empathy and the courage to step beyond their comfort zones — from leading tours and presenting survival guides to simply showing up for each other.

In this episode of Peer Reviewed, Charlotte and Emilie take on unexpected questions and reveal the quirks, perspectives and experiences that make their bond so unique. Get ready to laugh, learn and see friendship — and university life — in a whole new way.

Peer Reviewed is a playful series that puts friendship — and curiosity — to the test. Two friends. One bowl of unexpected questions. Each round, the duo takes turns guessing each other’s answers before the truth is revealed. It’s all about listening, learning and seeing your peers (and maybe even yourself) in a new light. Sometimes you’ll be spot on.

Sometimes hilariously off. But every time, you’ll discover something new. About how we think, how we connect and how much there is to learn from the people around us.

Because university isn’t just about growing your knowledge, it’s about growing your perspective.
