Safety Training

Safety Training

Safety training is an essential part of any Environmental Health & Safety Management System. All employees at MRU are required to complete the training outlined below.

Additional job-specific safety training is required for some positions; discuss with your supervisor or consult with the EH&S team if you have any questions.

Health & Safety Orientation

All employees must complete the online safety orientation, available on Blackboard as part of the Environmental Health & Safety course. If you don't see it listed or have technical difficulties, contact us at EHS@mtroyal.ca

Position Hazard Assessments

You must review the Position Hazard Assessment (PHA) for your position. The PHA outlines the hazards you are likely to encounter when performing your job and the appropriate controls to put in place to reduce your risk of injury. Your supervisor should provide you with a copy of your PHA to review; if not, please contact us at EHS@mtroyal.ca.

WHMIS Training

If you work with or around hazardous materials, you must complete the WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training, available on Blackboard as part of the Environmental Health & Safety course. If you don't see it listed or have technical difficulties, contact us at EHS@mtroyal.ca.
