Hadi Fariborzi is an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Bissett School of Business, Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada. His research broadly explores the intersections of international entrepreneurship, the growth and survival of new ventures and SMEs, and the ethical and responsible use of AI in research, utilizing advanced meta-analysis methods to uncover impactful insights across these domains.

With a profound expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the digital landscape, Hadi is dedicated to fostering an understanding of 21st-century innovation and entrepreneurship through technology. in his research and teaching He teaches a variety of courses, including "Innovation," "Entrepreneurship," "Creativity," "Digital Entrepreneurship," "Technology in Innovation," "Innovation and the Entrepreneurial Experience (ENTR 2301)," and "How Technology Enables Innovation (ENTR 3360)."

Hadi is at the forefront of integrating Artificial Intelligence into the curriculum with his new course, "Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Business (ENTR 3730)." This cutting-edge, practical course empowers students with the skills and knowledge necessary to leverage AI in solving real-world business problems. Through hands-on exploration of AI applications and mini-projects, students gain proficiency in data analysis, machine learning, and AI-driven innovation, preparing them for a future where AI plays a central role in business strategy and decision-making.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Hadi is an active researcher with publications appearing in journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Applied Psychology and Journal of World Business. His research focuses on meta-analysis methods and the ethical and responsible use of AI in research, as well as the intersection of international business, entrepreneurship and growth. As the Research Manager of the HubMeta lab at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, he oversees the development of the "HubMeta" platform, teaches meta-analysis workshops, and manages international research projects. Hadi also offers seminars on the use of AI in research through the instats.org platform, available for free to MRU's faculty, staff, and students, highlighting his commitment to disseminating knowledge and fostering a community of learning around AI's transformative potential in research and business.

Before joining Mount Royal University, Hadi was a Lecturer in International Business at the University of Sussex Business School, where he taught and supervised students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Dr. Fariborzi holds a Ph.D. in Strategy and Global Management from the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, and has a rich academic background with degrees in Business Administration and Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
