Eunah Kim, PhD

Assistant Professor, Public Relations

Eunah Kim, PhD, is an educator and researcher with more than 15 years of experience in communication practice, research, and teaching. She worked in the advertising field across the agency and client sides, where she led marketing communication efforts for various global companies. Inspired by her industry experience, she helps students better prepare for their careers, and also conducts research that strikes a balance between practice and theory. In Fall 2022, she teaches Issue Management & Crisis Communication, and Government Public Relations. In Fall 2023, she will be teaching Research Methods in PR, and in Winter 2023, Communication and Organizational Culture, and Fund Development and Corporate Philanthropy. 
Dr. Kim's research focuses primarily on consumer-brand engagement and privacy issues in the evolving digital and social media environment. Her work has been selected as a top paper at AEJMC and published in various journals, including Telematics and Informatics and the Journal of Marketing Communications. She completed her Ph.D. in Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota.
