Brian Traynor

Retired Associate Professor

Brian Traynor is an Associate Professor in the Information Design program in the Faculty of Communication Studies at Mount Royal University. Courses taught include: Information Architecture,Usability, and Project and Content Management.

Brian has research interests in user satisfaction measures, the attribution of blame by users and user classification of social media platforms. Brian is an active member of the IEEE Professional Communication Society and is a contributor to the ISO/IEC SC7 Systems and Software Engineering Working Group 2 in the area of documentation. Brian attended his first UXPA (UPA) conference in 2008.

Before returning to an academic environment, Brian was a senior manager of knowledge services at Nortel. While at Nortel he was primarily responsible for the development of information products in the wireless portfolio.
