Kris has been involved in music education for over 30 years. This has included earning an Honours Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar, completing his Senior Instrumental Music Education qualifications from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, teaching music in the public school system from Kindergarten to Grade 12, working for the Royal Conservatory of Music as Music Theory Consultant and Instructional Designer, and running a private teaching studio where he has taught guitar, bass, drums, and theory to students of all ages and levels. Kris regularly performs on the classical guitar and is a bassist with a number of groups including Canmore’s Valley Winds Big Band. When not teaching or playing music, Kris enjoys cross-country skiing.
