HCE Teaching and Learning Conference 2025
Educating students in practice-based professions often presents challenges not experienced in other disciplines. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality and simulation strategies have created many opportunities for innovation and change in teaching for practice-based professions. This conference is for educators in post-secondary institutions or clinical/practicum settings who work with practice-based professions to share best practices, ideas and research.
The live sessions occured May 22, 2025 in Calgary Alberta. We had an exciting day planned with two plenary speakers- experts in AI and clinical simulation respectively, and three concurrent sessions of 20 presenters and some posters. The concurrent sessions were in three streams: artificial intelligence (AI), innovation & AI, and simulation.
We have sponsored this conference every 2nd year. This was our 3rd biannual offering of the conference.
