Before joining MRU as a full-time faculty, I had been working in the field of civil and environmental engineering in both private and public sectors for 10 years. My industrial experience covers urban development, water infrastructure, urban hydrology and water resources management.

My current research focuses on urban hydrology and stormwater engineering with application of low impact development (LID) technologies to mitigate local flooding and improve urban water environment under rapid urbanization and climate change.

My current research projects include: 1) application of permeable pavement and other LIDs for water quantity and quality improvement in high density urban areas; 2) hydraulic, hydrological and water quality modeling to improve the design of LIDs; 3) Comparison of low energy release and traditional discharge scheme in local communities; 4) sensitivity and resilience analysis on critical water infrastructure under climate change and rapid urbanization.
