Apoorve joined the School of Computing Sciences and Mathematics in 2023, and prior to this appointment, he spent over a decade solving problems and writing code in the corporate sector. His research focuses on creating anti-racist pathways in coding and computer science education by foregrounding equity and diversity through a phenomenological approach. 

Throughout his doctoral work, Apoorve has taught courses in educational research, computer science, software engineering, project management, and data science. 

Apoorve’s formal education has been supported by scholarships and funding from NSERC, SSHRC, and NSF.
