Terrance brings experience from both the software industry and academia to his role at Mount Royal University. Before joining MRU, he worked as an independent game developer and earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. His background includes software development, game design, human-computer interaction, and post-secondary teaching.

Terrance’s research examines how technology can better support neurodivergent people. Supported by the Alberta Innovates Technology fund, his doctoral research investigated the experiences of autistic livestreamers and explored how autistic creators can be meaningfully included in the design of livestreaming technologies. His current interests include accessible and inclusive technology, online communities, livestreaming platforms, game development, and neurodivergent students’ experiences with online education tools.
