Mount Royal University is known for its focus on students and this is achieved with the quality of education we are so proud to provide, but also by creating a welcoming environment. If you are new to MRU, I certainly hope this comes across early days and if you are already part of our community—as an employee, student, alumni, or partner — I thank you for your contributions to our campus.  

I believe our role is to provide each student with an education that has academic merit and a post-secondary experience focused on personal growth. Because each student is treated as an individual, this learning is enduring. They achieve their goals and are set on a path of well-being.

It is a privilege to help build on the momentum of great stride Mount Royal is making in its distinguished reputation for teaching and learning, experiential learning and indigenization. By encouraging a culture of inquiry through collaboration and community building, there is even more to build on through research across disciplines that uplift faculty and help students gain valuable experience.
