Welcome to QLess
The Office of the Registrar is now using QLess, a virtual queuing system accessible via your smartphone. With QLess you can grab a bite to eat, work on homework, or catch up with your friends while waiting to speak with a staff member.
Before you join QLess for in-person assistance, review the services that can be accessed online from anywhere, anytime!
Here’s what’s available with QLess:
- Student loan inquiries
- Assistance with student loan applications
- Paper application submissions
- In-person assistance with the wide range of services available through the Office of the Registrar
QLess hours of operation
Join the Office of the Registrar's virtual QLess line from home, or anywhere!
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri - QLess line opens daily at 8:30 a.m.
Tuesdays - QLess line opens at 9 a.m.
NOTE: Please arrive on campus no later than 30 minutes prior to closing hours, regardless of your estimated Qless wait time. If the Registrar's Office closes at 4:30 p.m. you MUST be on campus no later than 4:00 p.m.
How it works
Join the virtual line in any of the following ways:
- Download the QLess app and search for Mount Royal University - Office of the Registrar
- Text MRU RO to 587.412.1656
- Access the online QLess Kiosk
- Use a self-serve computer outside Kerby Hall
While you wait you can text these letters for updates:
- H - Help with the list of available functions
- L - Leave the line
- M - Request more time
- S - Check your status in line
- N# - request to be notified in minutes before you’ll be served
- J - Rejoin the line if you accidentally leave it

Individuals are advised that the information provided will be publicly posted on the monitor for the purpose of managing queues; participants are allowed to use fictitious data at their discretion when using the system. In other words, we will display part of your name and phone number on the monitor showing your place in the queue. You are permitted to use a fake name if you are uncomfortable with anyone seeing your name.
