Accept your offer

Now that you’ve received an offer of admission, let’s make it official.

By accepting, you’re joining a community of students, professors and alumni who are making a difference in Calgary and beyond.

Accept your offer and become a Mount Royal student by following these steps:

1

Activate your MyMRU account and email

MyMRU is Mount Royal's online system for registration and important information.

How to activate your account

You will need your Mount Royal Student ID number found on your offer letter to activate your MyMRU account and MRU email.

  1. Visit mymru.ca
  2. Click Activate Your Account
  3. Read and accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy

View your MRU Email

Your MyMRU account includes your MRU email, where you'll receive important updates. Be sure to check it regularly!

To access your email:

  1. Log in to MyMRU
  2. Click the email icon in the top right corner of the main page

2

Accept your offer by paying your tuition deposit

Accept your offer of admission by paying the non-refundable tuition deposit by the date specified in your offer letter.

You can pay your deposit through the “Applicant” tab on MyMRU.

Applied to two programs?

Each application will be assessed separately. If you are accepted into one program while still waiting to hear about the other, we recommend accepting your initial offer. You can transfer your tuition deposit if you receive an offer for the other program.

International students only

Get ready to come to Canada!

Get your study permit

After you accept your offer of admission, MRU will request a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) from the Province of Alberta on your behalf that you will need to apply for a study permit. You are responsible for managing your own immigration status and entry into Canada.
