Cybersecurity Hub

Hacker Dude has been trying to access the Mount Royal University network. He has fled, leaving behind his laptop and his location locked inside a box. We have secured the crime scene, but we need your help. Your challenge, should you accept it, is to solve the puzzles, get access to the box and find the hacker.

Come join us for this fun escape-room-like activity. Each puzzle you solve unlocks a lock on the box. Solve all the puzzles and unlock all the locks to open the box and claim your prize. Everyone who participates is a winner. No cybersecurity knowledge is required. Everything you need to solve the puzzles is located in the room. The puzzles are challenging but fun and it only takes 45 to 60 minutes to work your way into the box. 

Do some team building, grab three of your colleagues/friends and compete together or if your colleagues/friends are not able to join you, sign up on your own and we will add you to a team. Each team is limited to 4 members but anyone can participate. Employees that do will recieve a reward that will lower their risk score. The time that it takes for each team to hack the box will be posted on the leaderboard below.

Register in advance to ensure you have a spot as there are only 10 time slots available. The challenge runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 21 and 22 in room EL1355. Not sure if you want to participate, drop by and watch the fun. You are welcome to join a challenge if a free spot is available.
