Get support

The MRU DDSV Advocate provides specializes support for MRU community members who have been impacted by dating, domestic and sexual violence.  Support is available to any student or employee, regardless of when or where the violence occurred. There is no obligation to report.

All appointments are confidential and can be done in-person, virtually or over the phone. 

A DDSV Advocate can help with: 

  • navigating resources both on and off-campus
  • accessing academic accommodations (eg. excused absence, extension, switching a course section, etc.)
  • safety planning, exploring options and coping strategies 
  • understanding reporting options
  • making a report to MRU
  • supporting someone in your life who has been affected by dating, domestic and/or sexual violence

In order to view the appointment calendar, you must use Google Chrome as the browser and be logged in to your @mtroyal Gmail account.

Appointments can be either in-person or virtual.  For in-person, go to Wellness Services (U216), where Student Counselling is located and let the receptionist know when you arrive. For virtual, you can use the google meet from the appointment booking in your google calendar.
