Gracie Urbinsky

Gracie Urbinsky is a third year Athletic Therapy student at Mount Royal University. Her position on the board is to help advocate for fellow students. Her goal is to express issues that students face throughout the degree in hopes of making the program stronger for future AT students.

Claude Faerden

Claude Faerden

Claude brings over two decades of experience in the outdoor tourism sector, with work spanning from French cycling routes to Malaysian jungles and the Canadian Rockies. For the last 14 years, he has run a retail store, rental shop, and guiding outfitter in the Rockies, additonally, he represented small and medium businesses on the Kananaskis Improvement District Council. His lifelong passion for the night sky now serves as the beacon for his next venture as Owner of Orion Adventures.
Luna Sinclair

Luna Sinclair

Luna is in her final year of the Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership major and throughout her degree has completed practicums with Alberta Parks and The National Olympic Committee of Kenya as a Queen Elizabeth Scholar. She is very excited to be joining Team Canada's Mission Staff to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after graduation.
Tyler Riopel

Tyler Riopel

As CEO of Tourism Jasper - the official marketing organization for Jasper and Jasper National Park - Tyler leads the work of showcasing one of Canada’s most authentic and awe-inspiring mountain destinations. With over 20 years of strategic marketing and business development experience across North America, he has collaborated with globally recognized brands and major events to advance their strategic visions. A proud graduate of the inaugural Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership program, Tyler also contributes to several industry and community advisory boards focused on collaborative marketing and destination development. When not working, he enjoys exploring the Rockies with his wife and two daughters, skiing, and supporting youth initiatives.

Chris Wright

Chris Wright

Chris Wright (PhD-c) is the Manager of Physical Literacy Development at the Pacific Institute for Sport Education (PISE) in Victoria, BC. His knowledge areas include physical literacy, inclusive games and activities and physical activity in the early years. His research and professional work focuses on building knowledge and capacity of leaders, coaches and educators to engage children in movement.

Richard Monette

Richard Monette

Richard Monette (B.Sc., B.Ed., M.A.) is the managing director of Active for Life, a leading initiative advancing children’s physical literacy nationwide. He also leads the national rollout of Learn Through Active Play (LTAP), a fully funded professional development program strengthening childcare centers across Canada. He is part of the leadership team at B2ten, supporting high-performance Canadian athletes in achieving sustained international success. Richard is also a sport psychology educator and consultant, advising Olympic and professional athletes.

Saren Blezy

Saren Blézy is the Director of Physical Literacy and Impact at Sport for Life, with a background in international studies and collaborative leadership. She leads multi-sector initiatives that improve movement, health, and community wellbeing across Canada and beyond. Her work spans multi-million dollar provincial initiatives, digital innovation, and international education development. She is driven by a belief that walkable, active, and connected communities are essential to human wellbeing.

Tyler Schroeder

Tyler Schroeder

Tyler Schroeder holds a BEd. degree as well as a BHPE degree. Currently, he is a teacher here in Calgary and has been an active in getting students to engage in more physical literacy routines. As someone who is able to see growth throughout a students education journey, he is able to provide key insight on what is happening and what the next steps could be.
