Erin Piper has been a practicing teacher for 13 years. For the last ten of them, she has taught math/science to a variety of grades at Connect Charter School. In addition to her teaching roles at Connect, she has also served as the Math/Science Portfolio Leader as well as the Communication and Collaboration Coordinator, working closely with teachers and community providers in finding inquiry opportunities for students. In 2016 Erin completed her Master's degree in Education at the University of Calgary, focusing on the intersection of memorization and inquiry in mathematics. With her husband, children and Newfoundland dog named Murray, she likes to explore the outdoors, camp and have big and little adventures in and out of the city.
