Sylwia has been working as a Registered Nurse since 2006, and her experience is primarily in Intensive Care. She fell in love with teaching future nurses back in 2012 while working as a contract faculty at the Red Deer College's nursing program. Sylwia has a passion for student wellness, which was the focus of her doctoral work. She highly values the sense of community and belonging that comes with working at MRU and the opportunities to get to know her students. Current teaching duties include pathophysiology and pharmacology as well as assessment skills and promoting critical thinking and clinical judgement of future nurses. Research interests center on anti-oppressive and all-inclusive approaches to teaching and learning.
