I completed my undergraduate nursing degree and later earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Nursing Leadership. I am CNA-certified in Geriatrics and am currently pursuing certification in Healthcare Simulation. My passion for experiential learning has led me to integrate simulation-based education into my teaching, creating engaging and realistic learning opportunities that help students build confidence and prepare for the complexities of clinical practice. As an educator, I am committed to helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice while developing the clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills required to deliver safe, patient-centered care. I place particular emphasis on patient education and discharge planning, recognizing their essential role in achieving positive health outcomes. I believe we need to shift from a reactive model of healthcare to a proactive model of care, and focus on idea when teaching. My nursing background includes experience as an operating room nurse, home care case management and interventionist , as well as in transition services within emergency and inpatient settings. I strive to create a learning environment that is supportive, engaging, and intellectually stimulating—one where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and learning from both successes and challenges.
