Jennifer is an Associate Professor at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada who teaches across the Bachelor of Nursing program and in the Bridge to Canadian Nursing program. She has a strong clinical focus in maternal-newborn nursing and is passionate about preparing the next generation of nurses who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, compassion and competencies required to practice within increasingly complex health care environments. Her teaching expertise includes maternal newborn health, nursing leadership, and the transition of senior nursing students into professional practice. Jennifer serves in various leadership, coordination, and curriculum development roles. She is actively involved with the Mokakiiks Centre for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and her research and scholarly pursuits surround developing and examining innovative teaching and learning strategies that support students in preparation for the registered nurse licensure examination and future registered nurse practice.
