The Mount Royal University Bachelor of Social Work program is designed to meet the standards for excellence in social work practice and graduates are eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Social work students should be familiar with, understand, and adhere to the values and standards outlined in the Canadian Association of Social Workers’ Code of Ethics (2005) and the Alberta College of Social Workers Standards of Practice (2019). Both of these documents are available for download at the ACSW website.
Information on the policies, practices, and deadlines related to the program are detailed in the Social Work Handbook and Practicum Manual. Students are required to review this information and ensure they are in compliance prior to and throughout this course.
