Our part-time courses support students as they build life skills, such as interpersonal communication and meal planning, as well as improve their ability in areas including reading, writing and math. From learning how to code to preparing to take the learner's licence test, these courses are designed to meet students' practical needs and interests.

Through 1 to 1 tutoring and small group activities this program assists you to improve your reading, writing, listening, viewing, and speaking skills. Instruction is provided via tutoring partnerships between volunteer tutors and learners and supervised by a certified instructor.

Alumni Activity Group
Keep up the friendships you made in the Transitional Vocational Program and develop new ones, too. This group is all about socializing. Meet with a facilitator to plan and then carry out a group activity together later that month. Try new things and learn about activities and facilities around Calgary. Also, improve your communication and teamwork skills. This course takes place through Google Meet, as well as in the community.

Participate in hands-on learning activities in this engaging course. Go on an interactive tour of a grocery store with a registered dietician and learn about healthy eating, and learn from a pharmacist about medicine use and safety. Create personalized nutrition, fitness and health tools to help you achieve your goals and stay on track. Try a different fitness activity each week lead by a certified fitness instructor in Mount Royal's world class recreation facility.
