TVP COVID-19 Information

COVID-19 measures and TVP

In alignment with recent provincial government protocols, wearing a mask is no longer required in indoor spaces on the Mount Royal campus; however, MRU strongly recommends you continue to wear a mask as an additional layer of protection and as a contribution to campus safety.

Please note, masks are still required for the following:

  • Wellness Services on campus, as their operations follow directives from Alberta Health Services (AHS).
  • Continuous masking is recommended for up to five days following recommended isolation due to COVID infection for vaccinated individuals. For more details, visit the Province of Alberta’s website.
  • In specific clinics, labs and classrooms where masks are standard personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Students completing practicums, work terms, etc. may be subject to additional requirements by their employer (e.g. AHS).
All members of the campus community are strongly encouraged to wear a mask consistent with AHS guidelines. This means a triple-layer mask — two layers of a tightly woven fabric with a middle layer of a filter-type fabric — a three-layered surgical mask or an N95 mask to help prevent COVID transmission.

Visit the University's COVID-19 information website at mru.ca/COVID19 for all of Mount Royal's COVID-19 policies, including those affecting current students. If you have any questions or concerns, please email tvp@mtroyal.ca.

Given the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, please note that Mount Royal’s policies are subject to change.
