Personalized 30-minute appointments
Meet with a Writing & Learning Strategist, in person or online, to tackle assignments, strengthen study habits, and get feedback on your writing (especially when you're still drafting).
Whether you're encountering challenges or building on your academic strengths, you’ll leave with practical strategies you can use right away.
If you need help booking, email sls@mtroyal.ca.
Ways we can help
Writing your first-ever university paper? Polishing an honours thesis or capstone project? Just trying to get started? No matter what the assignment is, you can work with a Strategist on it.
- Studying & time management: study strategies, schedules, exam plans, memory and concentration, test-taking strategies
- Writing & research: planning assignments, paraphrasing and quoting, citations, grammar
- Presentations: confidence, structure, slide design, practice delivery
- Group projects: managing group dynamics, role clarity
We focus on coaching and skill-building rather than editing or proofreading papers (but we can show you how!). We can help with test-taking strategies, but we can’t review or comment on answers for an active exam (including take-home exams).
