International Students - How to apply for admission
Visit our Apply Now page and click on Apply Alberta.
Apply early! Early admission is open from Oct. 1 to Feb 1. We encourage application during this period as some programs have a deadline of February 1 or fill up early. The application deadline for International applicants is April 1.
Although you are strongly encouraged to have your application for admission and all supporting documents at Mount Royal by February 1 to be considered in Early Admission, all final/official high school and post-secondary transcripts must be received at Mount Royal by May 1 to meet the final deadline for international applicants applying from outside of Canada (to allow time to process your application and for you to obtain a study permit).
International students must contact all high school and post-secondary institutions attended to request submission of your official high school and post-secondary transcript(s) directly to Mount Royal University.
Visit our English Language Proficiency Requirements to ensure you can demonstrate adequate knowledge in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking in the English language to be successful at Mount Royal.
You will receive correspondence to the email address you provide on your application for admission if you are missing documentation.
Mount Royal University is a Designated Learning Institution as per Citizenship and Immigration Canada, permitted to host international students on a study permit. A list of Mount Royal’s designated learning programs can be found here. The University’s DLI number is located on your visa letter.
You will receive an official letter in the mail from Mount Royal with our admission decision.
