Meryl is a Certified Athletic Therapist and non-physician expert in knee injuries. She is passionate about Athletic Therapy and completed her MEd with a capstone project on Video Technology as a Teaching and Learning Strategy in Athletic Therapy. Additionally, she was an integral part of developing athletic therapy services to faculty, staff, students, and public at the MRU clinic. In addition to teaching at MRU, she works at the Acute Knee Injury Clinic at the University of Calgary. Meryl is also an entrepreneur with an online fitness coaching business. Her passion for an active, healthy lifestyle focusing on injury prevention began at an early age, and has led to a variety of athletic endeavours over the years. She is a former equestrian athlete, fitness/figure competitor, and two-time Ironman Canada finisher. “I’m passionate about helping others understand the power, opportunity, and potential that fitness & health can create in their mind, body, and life!”
