Preparing Your Poster (And Yourself) for Research Days
If you are planning to present a poster at one of MRU’s upcoming research events, this online workshop is for you. We will cover software, formatting, and submission of posters, how to communicate your research in visually impactful ways, what to expect during the event, and more.

Research and Scholarship Days Recognition Lunch
Celebrate research and scholarship at Mount Royal University by joining us for the Recognition Lunch to kick off Research and Scholarship Days.
Enjoy a full-service meal while MRU faculty present their research. The theme for this year’s lunch is faculty-student research collaborations, with students joining faculty on stage for the presentations.
Seats are limited, so please RSVP. If you are unable to attend, please email Scott Corner at scorner@mtroyal.ca to help ensure no food is wasted.

Bioarcheology Laboratory Showcase
This bioarchaeology laboratory showcase highlights student research from ANTH 4671 (Experiential Bioarchaeology), featuring the analysis of Roman-period skeletal remains. The students will host drop-in visitors to share information about bioarchaeology and the individuals they studied.

Merry-Go-Round Research Talks: Rotating TED-Style Talks Across Programs
As part of Research & Scholarship Days, we invite undergraduate students across all programs to take the stage for an evening of short 5-minute TED-style research talks. Featuring an exciting rotating lineup of digestible topics that range from arts to sciences to humanities to business, students who participate (or spectate) in the Merry-Go-Round will be exposed to a wide range of new and diverse ideas. This drop-in event celebrates curiosity, creativity, and the power of sharing ideas across disciplines in ways that are accessible, inspiring, and community-building! Read more.

This is a fun and enlightening event where a lineup of seasoned researchers reflect on memorable challenges encountered in their research that, through persistence, grit and creativity, eventually led to an even more memorable breakthrough.
