Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2026
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. We are celebrating by encouraging everyone to Be a champion by staying alert, keeping informed and reporting threats. You can do that informally or if you are an employee, you can formalize the role and become a Cybersecurity Champion. Either way, you contribute to our defenses in an meaningful and important way.
Who are the Cybersecurity Champions? They are employees who volunteer 1 to 4 hours a month to formally committ to staying alert, keeping informed, reporting threats and supporting their teams to do so. In return they receive free training, swag, formal recoginition for their efforts and connection with other Champions across the campus. If your team doesn't have a Champion, please consider volunteering. We need you.
Being a champion, formally or informally, is easy. To help you get started, participate in one of our fun activities during October and November. Anyone can join in as they are easy, online and take little of your time. Best of all you can win great prizes. The fun begins on Oct. 2. Here is the activity list:
