Beth Everest is a writer who has won awards in writing contests across the country, including the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association silver medal for poetry. Her books of poetry include there will be blood and i will tell you, put your hand down here (Black Moss Press) and silent sister: the mastectomy poems (Frontenac House Press). She has published essays, literary criticism, poetry and fiction, and has had plays produced. In tandem with her colleague Bill Bunn, she has written the Canadian editions of two writing texts. She teaches writing, primarily the writing of fiction.
