"La profesora" True has pursued her career as a Spanish instructor at Mount Royal College since 1990 working for Continuing Education and as a sessional instructor for the Department of Languages. Since then Gabriela has completed her Bachelor of Education and Master's degree at the University of Calgary. Both degrees specializing in second language learning. She holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce (Licenciatura) and a Professional degree in International Commerce from the "Universidad de Mexico". Gabriela's interest in second language learning developed as a result of her experience as an ESL instructor at the YWCA in Calgary. Currently she continues to work at MRC and has recently developed and started the Spanish program at St. Mary's College. Gabriela obtained a diploma of "Master de Lengua y Cultura Española" from the "Fundacion Ortega y Gassete" in Madrid Spain last year.
