Kelly Hewson joined the Mount Royal community in 1993. Since then, she has taught a range of courses, her particular areas of interest being postcolonial literature, basic and advanced composition, and film studies. Her recent scholarly work, some produced in collaboration with her colleague, Lee Easton, has focused on the affective turn in pedagogy; student spectators and American film products; and ice hockey and the imagined Canadian nation.
