On Tuesday, September 2, 2026, the Department of Education welcomed the newest students joining the Bachelor of Education – Elementary program. The packed, exciting session was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and plenty of smiles as faculty, students, and staff came together to kick off the new school year.

The orientation gave students a chance to learn more about the program’s mission and vision, as well as what to expect throughout their journey toward becoming future educators. Students also got a head start on preparing for their first field experience, which is coming up this semester.

The program’s Education Undergraduate Society hosted an interactive “Build Your Own Classroom” activity. Students connected with their new classmates, got creative, and began imagining the kind of educators—and classrooms—they hope to create in the future.
