Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping teaching, learning, research and university operations. MRU supports the thoughtful and responsible use of AI in ways that develop human capability, protect privacy and security, and align with our academic and institutional values.

Framework for Responsible AI

In Spring 2025, MRU established an AI Steering Group to provide campus-wide strategic advice including a Framework and set of principles for campus-wide AI use and governance. Discover MRU’s Framework for Responsible Artificial Intelligence.

Using AI at MRU

AI can support learning, creativity, research and everyday work, but it must be used carefully. Before using AI, consider whether the tool is appropriate for the task, whether the information you are using is sensitive or confidential, and whether AI use is permitted in your course, research or work context.
