Laurel Sherriff is an adjunct instructor in the Department of English, Languages, and Cultures and the Department of General Education. Her teaching areas include writing for academic success, and introductions to writing about media and literature. Interests include children’s literature, ecocriticism, women’s and gender studies, as well as teaching and learning theory and practice. Laurel's instruction is grounded in principles of experiential learning, universal design for learning, and the students as partners model. She is a strong advocate for multidisciplinary, innovative approaches to postsecondary education and aims to create a classroom environment that celebrates diverse, intersectional perspectives.
