Special program fees

A Private Pilot Licence (PPL) must be completed before beginning flight training within the diploma program. MRU offers the Private Pilot Licence program annually beginning in January with a second program possible in summer. Applications for the January PPL program can be obtained by contacting aviation@mtroyal.ca, beginning in October. Category 1 Medical is also a requirement, and here is the link to finding an Aviation Medical Examiner.

In addition to tuition and fees, you will be required to pay flight training fees as you progress through the flight courses over two years throughout the program. Fees are subject to change depending on operating costs for aircraft and related services. Some loan funding is now available for these components.
