On Friday, February 13th, 2026, Lori Desautels PhD, Assistant Professor at Butler University, offered a thought-provoking presentation at the annual Calgary City Teachers’ Convention. This is the 8th time that Mount Royal University has partnered with the CCTC to offer a presentation for convention attendees, including current-year four teacher candidates and their mentor teachers. Dr. Desautels presented Connections Over Compliance: Rewiring Our Understanding of Complex Behaviour. Lori’s presentation focused on how adults can learn to regulate their nervous systems so that they might be able best serve the needs of children who are struggling.
Thank you, Dr. Desautels, for travelling to Calgary, Alberta, to offer this important presentation and thank you to the Calgary City Teachers’ Convention for your continued support and partnership.
