In-Person Courses

For Winter 2022, 80 per cent of course sections will be delivered in-person, with the remainder continuing to be offered through remote delivery.

View the Winter 2022 list of online courses here.

If you’re unable to attend in-person components included in the list, we encourage you to work with your Academic Advisor to discuss your options.

Please note that courses in this list may include both online and in-person components in a combined method of delivery. And, not all in-person course components are delivered on our campus. Field schools, practica, clinical, or work experiences may be hosted at other locations or by external agencies.

Mount Royal University is resuming flight training for Aviation Diploma and Private Pilot Licence (PPL) programs. Check their website for more information about flight training.

Non-medical face masks must be worn in all indoor public spaces on campus. They are recommended in outdoor locations whenever physical distancing cannot be maintained. Learn more about wearing a mask on campus

Frequently asked questions regarding in-person classes

I am not registered or don’t plan to register for any in-person courses. What do I do?
If you’re not registered in any of the courses listed for in-person delivery, you do not need to do anything.

Do I need to live in Calgary or be able to come to campus?
If you’re planning to take a course that requires in-person on-campus learning then you will need to make arrangements to be able to come to campus at the designated time for that course for the summer or fall or delay registration in that course to a future semester.

Students should work with their Practicum Coordinator or Work Experience Coordinator to determine if this experience is required to take place in Calgary.

If I can’t move to Calgary how does it affect my program?

  • International students: International students who do not currently have a study permit are permitted to begin their studies online from outside of Canada without a study permit. We encourage you to still register in courses for the fall.
  • Canadians or permanent residents: You can continue to take your courses remotely, but check with your Advisor to see how to manage your program requirements if there are in-person components that you are unable to attend.

Where can I live if I need to be available for on-campus learning?
Residence Services is available for your housing needs. They are currently accepting applications for the 2022 Winter term and also have
short-term accommodations available.

Do I need Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to attend in-person classes?
Requirements for safe on-campus learning will be provided prior to attending class.

If I am required to attend in-person, do I need to change my schedule?
Your current schedule remains unchanged but you can still make changes or add or remove courses until the add/drop deadline for the term in which you are registered.
