When to move in
Fall 2023 Move-In Day
Saturday, September 2, 2023 - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Move In Day this year will take place September 2nd. Additional details are provided in the email from Residence Services outlining your Room Assignment.
International students - Fall
We cannot gurantee room avilability prior to Move-In Day. If you would like to move in before the secheudled move in day, please contact Residence Services to make special arrangements. If there is room avilability, a nightly rate will be charged for the number of nights of stay prior to Move-In Day.
Moving in for Winter term
Winter 2024 Move-In Day
Tuesday, January 2, 2024 - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
If you cannot check in during this time, our office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. starting January 2. Please contact us if you will be checking in other than Move-in Day. Due to the university holiday closure, move-in is not available prior to January 2.
Regardless of where your residence unit is located, check in at the Residence Services office in West Residence Building B.
International students - Winter
If your flight is scheduled to arrive after regular business hours, please contact Residence Services to make special arrangements to move in. We are not able to accommodate arrivals prior to January 2.
Moving in for Spring and Summer terms
Spring/Summer 2023 Move-In
Friday, April 28, 2023 - 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
Current residents staying for the Spring/Summer terms will also move to designated summer housing the first week of May. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Important note: You will be charged nightly for the days between the end of the Winter term and the beginning of the Spring term if you choose to stay in residence between those terms.
Office hours in April are from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm. In May, office hours are extended until 10:00 pm.
International students - Spring and Summer
If you are an English as a Second Language (ESL) student and your program begins in April, please contact Residence Services to inquire if space is available for move in before the beginning of your studies. The Winter term runs from January to May, therefore, it is possible that no space is available until May. If space is available, it is likely that you will need to move to a temporary placement for April and then again in May to summer housing.
