Teaching Statement:
In the introductory writing courses I teach (GNED 1401, GNED 1401), I train students to be careful and critical readers of written and visual texts and to navigate academic and non-academic writing contexts. In my classroom, I create opportunities for active learning, frequent practice, and informal feedback to build students’ competencies and confidence as effective and ethical communicators. I strive to get to know each of my students and to adapt my teaching to meet their needs and interests.
